Wolves set to complete deal for Benfica star, deal imminent

Wolves are edging closer to a deal for Benfica star Anderson Talisca, according to a report by Portuguese news outlet O Jogo, via HITC Sport.

The 22-year-old Brazilian is highly regarded as one of the top talents on the continent, but it is Championship side Wolves, backed by new owners and supported by so called super agent, Jorge Mendes, who look to be close to sealing the deal.

O Jogo reports that the classy midfield player is training away from the first team and that a move is complete subject to paperwork and a work permit being granted.

Talisca arrived at Benfica in 2014 when he secured a move from Brazilian side Bahia, and has impressed ever since in an advanced attacking midfield role for the former European Champions.

While Liverpool have been interested in his services, Wolves look set to beat the Reds to the signing of Talisca – although O Jogo reports that Liverpool will be his next destination after spending a year at Molineux.

Wolves are set to kick off their Championship campaign tomorrow under new manager Walter Zenga, who could well showcase a host of new signings including some of Talisca’s ex Benfica team mates.

Wolves fans, what do you think to this news? Is this a good for you and the player? Will he improve your team? Let us know!
