Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett has told Wolves' official website that returning midfielder George Saville has a chance to force his way into Wolves' midfield.

The 21-year-old, recently on loan at League One champions Bristol City, has returned to Molineux after his loan spell came to an end.

After returning from a winning side, despite not making as many appearance as had hoped, Jackett now feels ready to give Saville a chance in the first team setup and focus on his job of breaking his way into the Wolves side.

“What he has to do now is adjust to coming back from Bristol City, said Jackett to the Wolves official site.

"They've now got promotion so his job now is to force his way into our midfield and that’s his job and his task.''

The former Millwall manager also admitted that the ex-Chelsea star has been unlucky at both Bristol City and Wolves after struggling to force himself into an already well established side, as well as conceding his player did not get as much time has he had hoped away on loan.

''I hope it hasn't knocked his confidence. But most importantly as a young player, it's now about his determination to prove he get into Wolves’ midfield. That’s something I hope hasn't knocked his conviction to do that because that's football life.''

With the play-offs not totally out of the question for Wolves, Kenny Jackett will be hoping his team can finish strongly in their remaining games, both against teams fighting relegation in Wigan Athletic and Millwall.

Saville will most definitely be eager to play his part in a late fight for promotion via the play offs.
