Wolves have joined Aston Villa in the race to sign highly-rated Bolton Wanderers winger Dennis Politic, according to Football Insider. 

The 19-year-old has been an important player for Bolton this season and his impressive performances in League One have attracted the interest of the Premier League duo.

Wolves are keeping close tabs on the winger ahead of a potential transfer in January, although they are set to face competition from their Premier League rivals Aston Villa, who are also interested in the midfielder.

Politic has been one of the standout players for Bolton this season, scoring two goals in eleven appearances in all competitions, after spending much of last season on loan at Salford City.

The Romanian was one of the young players that Bolton used to fulfil their early-season fixtures, but unlike many of the other youngsters, Politic was able to keep his place in the side after the club signed nine new players on a manic transfer deadline day.

The Verdict

Politic is an exciting young player and he's done well for Bolton so far this season. It seem as though he's got the potential to play at a higher level and there's every chance that he could be tempted by a move to the Premier League.

I'm sure Bolton will be extremely reluctant to lose one of their key players, but they might be able to get a decent fee for him and that would have to be considered a boost given their recent financial troubles.

Politic has made quite an impact so far and it seems as though he's going to have a key role play for Bolton as the season progresses.
