Josef de Souza is a summer target for Wolves, according to Turkish Football.

The 29-year-old plays for Turkish side Fenerbahce who finished second in the league.

They had a chance of winning it until the very last day, though, but Galatasaray were victorious in their last game to secure the title.

De Souza has been a key part of the campaign because he only missed one league game all season.

He contributed four goals and two assists while also providing a screen for the defence which made him a key player, but his contract runs out next season.

Therefore, Wolves may be able to pry him away with a €12 million bid.

The Verdict

This move would make sense because he could partner Ruben Neves in central midfield with the Portuguese controlling from deep while De Souza breaks up attacks and provides an additional threat in the attacking phase.

They already have Romain Saiss as well as potentially signing Alfred N'Diaye permanently, so this would give them significant depth in this area.

Fenerbahce can offer him Champions League football, so this shows the financial power of the Premier League if Wolves can lure him away, and this would be similar in circumstances to Cenk Tosun's move to Everton from Besiktas in January.
