It was a memorable weekend for Wolverhampton Wanderers after they secured promotion to the Premier League on Saturday and moved to within a point of the title, after beating local rivals Birmingham City on Sunday.

However, even during the celebrations, key figures at the club were keen to stress that the hard work is only just beginning.

That should mean an exciting summer for Wolves fans, with several big-name signings expected to arrive at Molineux.

With the help of Jorge Mendes, the club have managed to attract the likes of Ruben Neves, Diogo Jota and Willy Boly to the Championship, so there's a feeling they could make some statement signings now they can offer top-flight football.

Yet, that will mean some players must leave. Here we look at four who are fighting for a future with the Black Country side...

The academy graduate was key in helping the side win promotion to the Championship but he found it tough to play regularly under Nuno Espirito Santo.

And, his last game, where he was taken off in the 4-1 defeat to Aston Villa certainly didn't help his case.

Wolves may want Batth to stay however game time is going to very limited if new defenders come in and he may go to a Championship side where he could do a very good job.

Similarly, Roderick Miranda has found game time hard to come by as the season progressed and he too will have bad memories of his last game, when he was withdrawn against Hull after conceding a penalty.

Santo knows the defender well and his ability on the ball is very good, so he may be prepared to give him another chance after taking a year to adapt to his new surroundings.

Although, it's hard to see how he breaks into the team so a move back to Portugal, which was mooted in January, seems possible.

As with every player who joined on loan this season, Wolves have an option to sign N'Diaye permanently and it's a real tough call for those in charge.

The Senegal international has contributed in this season, with some excellent moments, however he was third choice in the midfield.

With Morgan Gibbs-White coming through the ranks and a new midfielder likely to arrive in the summer, do they need N'Diaye? It's a big call for Santo.

The striker joined in January and was immediately given a chance in the first-team, however it became apparent very quickly he wasn't up to it.

Of course, that's understandable, Mir is only 20-years old and trying to adapt to a new country, culture and style of football.

However, chances are going to be harder to come by in the top-flight and he can't get in the squad at the minute. A return to Spain, or a loan spell away, could be likely.
