Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Tongo Doumbia is a summer target for French side RC Lens, according to Get Football News France.
The 25-year old French-born Mali international midfielder joined Wolves in 2012 for £3.2 million from France Ligue 1 side Rennes and has gone on to make 33 league appearances for the side.
However, the midfielder has failed to impress in the English Football League pyramid and was subsequently loaned out to Valenciennes this past season .
During his loan period at the Ligue 1 side he made 36 league appearances and scored four times but is still on the Wolves fringes despite such an impressive season.
His performances have caught the eye of recently promoted Ligue 1 side RC Lens. However, any deal hinges on which league they play in next season due to financial uncertainty surrounding the club.
The French side failed to meet the 2014/15 season budget criteria and in doing so have had their promotion suspended until further notice.
Any potential deal is to be sorted in the near future as Lens await the verdict to their appeal and if successful a deal to sign Doumbia will be made.
