The odds are firmly stacked against Wolves as they look to progress in the Carabao Cup tonight , after they were drawn away to Manchester City. However, midfielder Alfred N'Diaye insists that the side can pull off the major shock – providing they have the right attitude.

Pep Guardiola is likely to make eleven changes from Saturday's Premier League game, however, that could still see the likes of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Yaya Toure play, among other international players.

What's more, Nuno Espirito Santo has used the Carabao Cup to field a second-string and is expected to do the same again. Despite that, N'Diaye is confident. “If we go with a good attitude we can win. We're 11, they're 11, we can win. Every game we try to win. We're not going there to lose – if so we stay at home,” he told the Express & Star.

The Senegal international came up against Guardiola's side last season whilst on loan at Hull and is hoping his experience from that game can benefit some of the younger players who start. “I will try to help my teammates. I'm one of the oldest players, I played against Man City and I know how to play against them so I'll try to help them.”

The Verdict

Alfred N'Diaye has impressed since joining Wolves but the form of Ruben Neves and Romain Saiss has limited his minutes on the pitch.

The powerful midfielder gets the chance to play tonight and is clearly looking forward to the game. Fans will be glad to hear his positive attitude, even if they might not believe what he says!

Wolves will be roared on by over 6,000 fans, who are certainly travelling more in hope than expectation and will just want to see a respectable performance from their weakened team.
