Wolves could once again look to smash their transfer record with a huge bid for Portuguese winger Bruma, according to the Birmingham Mail.

22-year-old Bruma is currently on the books of Galatasaray, and the report claims Wolves could launch a bid in excess of £20m for the impressive midfielder.

Bruma spent much of last season in La Liga with Real Sociedad, but this season has returned to Turkey and impressed, scoring eight goals this season in what has been a real breakthrough season for the Portugal under-21 international.

The signing of Bruma would come as no surprise to Wolves fans really, with the club spending £13m on fellow Portuguese winger Helder Costa in the January transfer window.

With Wolves looking at such expensive deals once more, there is a strong sense that the club's owners are once again willing to back manager Paul Lambert in the summer market - although it does remain to be seen if Lambert will be in charge come next term.

Wolves are currently in a relegation scrap in the Championship, and will be desperate to stay up so that deals like this can even be considered.
