Wolves could look to bolster their frontline this summer with the signing of Russian striker Fyodor Smolov, according to a report by the Birmingham Mail, via the Dail Mail.

The Championship winners are keen to bolster their forward line this summer with the likes of Benik Afobe and Leo Bonatini both set to return to their parent clubs, and there is little in the way of knowing if either of those two will be signed permanently.

This has led manager Nuno Santo to look into the summer market already, and he has identified the big Russian striker as a potential target.

Smolov currently plies his trade with Krasnodar, and has been in impressive goalscoring form this season, knocking in 12 goals in 15 appearances so far, while he also has the same amount of goals for his country in just 30 international appearances.

The striker, who at six foot two would add real presence to the Wolves forward line, would no doubt be keen on a move to England, and would see a club like Wolves as an ideal project to join, with owners Fosun expected to splash the cash this summer to enable Wolves to compete in the top tier.

Wolves fans, what do you make of this? Would you take Smolov in your squad? Let us know in the comments!
