Despite Wolves' excellent start to the season, the club are expected to be on the lookout for a new striker in the January transfer window and Nicolai Jorgensen is the latest name to be linked with a move to Molineux.

The 26-year old Danish attacker currently plays for Dutch champions Feyenoord, with his goals vital in the Rotterdam club securing a memorable league title win last season.

However, things haven't gone as well for Feyenoord or Jorgensen this season and according to the printed edition of the Mirror (page 48) on Wednesday, Wolves are looking to make a January move for the striker.

Although, he would command a hefty fee, as Everton were linked with the player in the summer and were said to be prepared to pay around £18m for the striker.

Wolves fans may have seen Jorgensen play both games for his country Denmark, as they emphatically overcame Republic of Ireland to book their place at the World Cup in Russia last night.

The need for a striker may not seem pressing to neutrals given the way that Nuno Espirito Santo's men have started, but Leo Bonatini is the only natural striker on their books.

The Verdict

Firstly, you have to say what a signing Jorgensen would be. He is intelligent and has a god all-round game that would ideally suit the role Wolves need from him.

However, how realistic is this? Jorgensen has a World Cup on the horizon and won't want to jeopardise his place by moving club's and potentially losing form.

Similarly, despite their great position, Wolves are no certainties to go up and it would represent a big risk by the player as he wouldn't want to be in the Championship for long. However, Wolves owners have shown you can't rule out any signing given the work they've done in the past.
