Wolves legend Steve Bull has admitted he is surprised at the lack of transfer activity from his former club in the window so far.

Nuno Espirito Santo's men have made just two January additions, with Rafa Mir joining from Valencia and young goalkeeper Andreas Söndergaard arriving from Odense, although he will link up with the development squad.

Even though they boast a nine-point lead at the top of the Championship, Wolves' performance levels have dipped in the last month or so, particularly in front of goal.

Striker Leo Bonatini hasn't scored since December 4 whilst the Black Country side have notched just 11 goals in 11 games.

That has prompted for some fans to call for a new striker to be added to the squad before the deadline and Bull agrees.

"There’s a few days left in the window and we wait to see what Wolves do. I thought we’d have another striker in by now. The squad is big but a couple of fresh faces would be no bad thing," he wrote for the Express & Star.

The Verdict

The majority of Wolves fans will surley agree with their former striker as the last few performances have been slightly concerning.

Of course, there's no need to go over the top and players will inevitably go through good and bad patches but they do look light up front.

Wolves should win promotion either way but after all the investment in the summer it seems worth spending on one final forward to get them over the line.
