Hartlepool United star Brad Walker is attracting interest from a number of clubs in the Football League, with Wolves heading the queue for his signature, according to HITC.

Kenny Jackett’s side have shown an interest in the midfielder and they are expected to approach Pools about signing the 19-year-old in January.

Walker has played over 70 times at Victoria Park since he was given his debut in 2013, and he is seen as one of the brightest prospects in League Two, winning the division’s Apprentice of the Year Award in 214.

He has impressed in a struggling Hartlepool side this season, and it will be difficult for Ronnie Moore to keep hold of the prospect knowing that there is interest in him from elsewhere.

Wolves are now leading the race for his signature after he spent the last week training with the club, and Jackett will hope to have the funds available to sign the Billingham-born midfielder.

Hartlepool would hate to lose Walker given their disappointing season so far which has seen them pick up just twenty points from nineteen games, but a move to the Championship may be too good to turn down for the player.
