Wolves game against Sunderland is in doubt tomorrow due to the snow that has fallen throughout the West Midlands in the night.

As well as that, more is forecast tonight and whilst the pitch should be fine, it may be deemed unsafe for fans to travel to the game.

Nevertheless, Wolves remain hopeful that the fixture will go ahead and released a statement confirming that they will do 'everything possible' to ensure the game is played.

Put up on the official site, it also added; "Staff and fan volunteers will be working to clear the stadium and ensure that it is a safe environment for what is expected to be a large crowd due at Molineux tomorrow."

"At this stage, advice to fans is to start making plans to arrive as early as possible ahead of the game as the inclement weather will disrupt travel plans and will increase congestion around the stadium."

Further updates will be added when necessary and the club are urging fans to check all the Wolves media channels for the latest.

If the game does go ahead, Wolves will be seeking a sixth consecutive win and their seventh league win in a row at Molineux.

The Verdict

Nuno Espirito Santo will be desperate for the game to be played so his side can continue their marvellous form, but there's not much anyone involved can do.

There won't be an issue with the pitch and fans are already prepared to help to ensure the stadium is safe but they will just have to wait and see.

Plenty of games up and down the country are sure to be postponed and Sunderland fans probably won't mind if this is added to the list!
