Wolves facing Premier League competition in bid to sign player

Bournemouth have joined the race to sign Wolves target Felix Bejimo, according to Expressen.

The 20-year-old is a popular target because German side Werder Bremen are also interested in signing him.

He currently plays as a right-back for Swedish side Djurgardens, with 15 appearances across all competitions this season as well as a goal and three assists.

Bejimo has already won silverware in his time at the club because they were victorious in the 2017/18 Svenska Cupen. However, a move to the Premier League would be a big step up for the youngster due to the standard he is used to as well as his age.

Although the fact that Wolves are interested, and were even involved in talks, suggests that they must see something in him because they like to be ambitious in the transfer market.

The Verdict

He certainly provides an attacking threat which is why he is also able to play further up the pitch in right midfield if needed.

Therefore, it’s understandable why Wolves are interested in his signature because he would fit the right wing-back role in their system, but they appear to be dragging their feet because they have been linked for a while.

Bejimo could provide Matt Doherty with competition for the starting role, but Bremen seems a better fit due to the Bundesliga being a hub for young talent currently, so he’s more likely to get opportunities there than in the short-term results-based mentality of the Premier League.
