Wolves eyeing surprise move for veteran Premier League striker

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in veteran Premier League striker Peter Crouch, according to Birmingham Mail.

The Stoke City striker has found himself heavily down the pecking order at the Bet365 Stadium in recent times, and has reportedly attracted the eye of new Wolves boss Walter Zenga.

There are serious rumours emerging that Crouch was at Compton, home of Wolves’ training ground, in discussion over a move to the Black Country.

At 35 years old, the 6 foot 7 man’s best years are probably way behind him now, but there is no doubt that he would add a wealth of experience, to a team that lacked heavily in know-how last term.

Crouch could be a tremendous asset to Zenga’s men, and could be a bargain, not that money is an issue for the club now, after a recent takeover from Chinese billionaire Guo Guangchang.

It seems as if Zenga is looking to bolster his front line with huge presence, after the signing of Kaiserslauten striker Jon Dadi Bödvarsson.

So…What do you think Wolves fans? Is Crouch a good signing? Is he still capable of becoming a prolific goalscorer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
