Wolves manager Kenny Jackett is looking to bring Crystal Palace striker Fraizer Campbell to the club as his search for a striker continues, according to Sunday’s Print edition of the Mirror.
Nouha Dicko picked up a knee injury that will see him miss the rest of the season and Jackett wants to add a striker to take the pressure off Benik Afobe and Adam Le Fondre, his only two main strikers.
Campbell has plenty of Premier League experience available to him and has played for a host of clubs including Manchester United, Sunderland, Cardiff and current club Crystal Palace, as well as loan spells with Belgian side Royal Antwerp, Hull City and Tottenham.
He also has experience of the the Championship and being promoted from it as he was part of Malky Mackay’s side that finished champions in the 2012/13 season, a campaign in which he scored seven times in 12 games after joining the club in a £650,000 deal.
He is quite far down the pecking order at Selhurst Park with Connor Wickham, Patrick Bamford, Dwight Gayle and Marouane Chamakh all ahead of him.
