Wolves eye move for fellow Championship stalwart

Wolverhampton Wanderers are eyeing a January swoop for Ipswich Town defender Luke Chambers, according to reports from the Mirror.

The 31-year old’s contract expires at Portman Road at the end of the current campaign, therefore Mick McCarthy may feel obliged to cash in on the versatile defender in the January transfer window.

Paul Lambert’s Wolves have conceded a staggering 34 goals thus far this term, and sit in a disappointing 16th place in the Championship table after 24 games.

Many were tipping the Black Country side to be promoted at the start of the campaign, bringing in illustrious foreign talent following a massive Chinese takeover, however success is yet to be achieved.

Chambers, who has made 203 appearances for the Tractor Boys, can also operate as a right-back as well as a centre-half, making him a perfect asset for Paul Lambert and the Molineux club.

So…what do you think Wolves fans? What do you make of this recent news linking you with Luke Chambers? Would you like to see him sign? Leave your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
