Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Scott Golbourne has today told the the Sutton Coldfield Observer that the fight for the play- offs is still wide open.

Could Scott Golbourne be heading back to Bristol City?
Golbourne has cemented himself in the Wolves backline

Wolves sit in eighth place in the Sky Bet Championship, two points behind the play offs, and the former Barnsley defender believes his side must take each game as it comes in order to continue their fine form.

"Just focus on the next game and try to win that. Don't give too much respect to the leading clubs and don't underestimate those at the other end of the table. Keep a level focus whoever you are playing because every game is an opportunity for three more points.'' Golbourne said to the Sutton Coldfield Observer.

The 27-year-old also insisted that not knowing what the teams in the Sky Bet Championship will throw at you on the day is also something they must be aware of.

''What we have learned this season is that the Championship is unpredictable. You mustn't assume you are going to beat the teams at the bottom and you can't think that you won't beat the top sides.''

Golbourne insisted that his fellow teammates must also worry about their own game and not the results that could affect them and their bid to make the play offs. "But we can only be concerned with what do - concentrating properly on our next match gives us our best chance. There is nothing to be gained from being disheartened if our rivals should pick up a good result.''

With a Good Friday clash at the City Ground against ninth placed Nottingham Forest it is sure to be a huge game for both teams.

With their slim play off hopes still alive, Dougie Freedman's Nottingham Forest side will be hoping they can overcome the team above them and continue to fight for a place in the play offs.

On the other hand, a win for Kenny Jackett's side could really ignite their play off push until the end of the season whilst ending Forest's.
