According to the print edition of the Sunday People via HITC Sport, Wolverhampton Wanderers could make a move for free agent Joleon Lescott.
Joleon Lescott is available on a free after having his contract terminated with Greek side AEK Athens recently.
The 34-year-old started his career with Wolves and went on to make over 200 appearances at Molineux after graduating from the academy.
Since then, Lescott has enjoyed a successful career in the Premier League with spells at Everton, Manchester City and West Bromwich Albion before his spell with Aston Villa in 2015/16.
Lescott’s time at Villa Park was marred by controversy, as he infamously Tweeted a picture of an expensive sports car following their heavy defeat to Liverpool and said that he was relieved that they were officially relegated.
He left this summer to join AEK Athens on a free but only managed four games for the Greek outfit before having his contract terminated.
This means that he will not be allowed to play for Wolves until January due to FIFA regulations.
The former England international would boost Paul Lambert’s defence, who are struggling to keep clean sheets at the moment.
The experience of the twice-Premier League winner would be invaluable at this stage of Wolves’ season.
