Wolverhampton Wanderers will be looking to continue their good form this weekend as they host Preston North End at Molineux in an eye-catching game.

The Black Country side took advantage of Cardiff's slip-up at Birmingham City last weekend as they cruised past Aston Villa 2-0 to go top of the Championship. They are looking good going forward and tight at the back at the moment, then, and there's every chance they'll stay top for some time to come.

Certainly, then, they'll be looking to do that against a Preston side that is really tough to beat and certainly has potential to cause problems with them going well this year. And, with Whoscored's match preview in mind, we think Wolves will have to take care of Preston's left-side during the game.

Indeed, according to the site it is a trait of Preston's playing style that they like to go down the left when attacking and so the likes of  Matt Doherty and Danny Batth need to ensure they take care of that if they start. With Josh Earl and Sean Maguire on that left-side for Preston more than likely this weekend, you can see why they use that side and with Maguire scoring last time out at Fulham, he'll fancy his chances to do so again at Molineux.

There's going to be key battles all over the pitch, of course, but Wolves' right-hand side, and Preston's left, could be the pivotal area in terms of the final result.
