There has been significant changes at Wolverhampton Wanderers over the past few months and the club have continued that by making several additions to their backroom team.

That includes bringing in a performance analyst from Manchester United and an experienced scout who has worked for Barcelona, according to the Express & Star.

Andrew Findlay, who had spent four years at Old Trafford has joined the Black Country club as their performance analysis chief and will work closely with Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Portuguese boss places a big emphasis on this so will be pleased at the new addition to his team.

Meanwhile, Miguel Rios has joined the club in their scouting department, having previously worked for Barcelona and Arsenal. As well as that, Rios has occupied key roles at both Brentford and Fulham so will be aware of the Championship.

He is the latest new face to the scouting team that sporting director Kevin Thelwell and recruitment chief John Marshall have been working on for the past few months.

All the new additions have also been approved by Santo, who has had a significant say in the process.

The Verdict

There's exciting times on the pitch for Wolves and it appears the club are making strides to improve off it as well.

Clearly, they are looking to expand their scouting network to attract players from across the globe. We've already seen the benefits of that, with Leo Bonatini excelling since joining from Saudi Arabian football.

It also shows they believe in what Santo is doing, as they should, given that he is likely to have pushed for the new recruits, particularly Findlay.
