Championship leaders Wolves could be set for a battlr to keep hold of star midfielder Ruben Neves, as the Manchester Evening News reports that Man United are interested in signing the Portuguese star this summer.

Neves, who last summer became the most expensive signing in the Championship following his £15m move to Molineux, has seriously impressed for the table toppers this term and has been turning a few heads with his performances, not least it seems, Jose Mourinho.

The Man United manager is reportedly looking for a central midfielder to replace Ander Herrera and compete alongside the likes of Nemanja Matic, and sees Neves as the ideal signing at Old Trafford.

At just 20-years-old, Neves has bags of time on his side to develop further, and would find it nigh on impossible to turn down a move to such a club, as well as the chance of playing under manager Mourinho.

Neves has found the back of the net four times this season, but it has been his control of the midfield for Wolves which has made him standout. The Molinuex faithful will no doubt be hoping that United turn their attentions elsewhere and Neves can play a key part for the Midlanders next term.

Wolves fans, what do you make of this? How much is Neves worth? Let us know in the comments!
