Wolverhampton Wanderers lost 1-0 to Huddersfield Town last night at Molineux in a Championship match which saw the visitors move up to third and secure a place in the play-offs.

The result didn't affect Wolves in a significant manner and Lambert was able to utilise some fringe players in his squad, such as Morgan Gibbs-White and Silvio.

Paul Lambert also recalled Jordan Graham after the exciting winger spent 15 months on the sidelines with a serious injury.

In the warm up before the game, Wolves goalkeeper Andy Lonergan suffered an injury and with Carl Ikeme still out injured, young Harry Burgoyne was thrown in.

The 20-year-old was making his 5th ever Wolves appearance and his 4th in the league.

However, the promising youngster was blamed by his manager for the 1-0 loss.

Paul Lambert claimed that the former Barnet loanee should have done better to prevent Izzy Brown's goal, which proved to be the decider.

Lambert said:

"I think the goal, Harry (Burgoyne) should have saved it, by his own admission.

"He never really had a save to make after that, but I thought he should have saved the goal."
