According to The Express and Star, Paul Lambert still believes that Duckens Nazon is not ready for first team action yet.

Duckens Nazon arrived in January and has been playing for the Wolverhampton Wanderers under 23 side but Lambert claims that there are still question marks over his fitness.

The 22-year-old scored his first goal for the under 23 side against Brighton earlier this week but Lambert has acknowledged that there is a huge gap between first team and under 23s.

The Haiti international arrived on a short term deal from Indian Super League outfit Kerala Blasters and was immediately placed in the development squad in a bid to impress and earn a longer contract.

Talking about when Nazon arrived, Lambert said:

"His fitness was way low , too low for the way I play and too low for the way the team plays.

“He’s getting there, slowly but surely, but I still think he’s a bit off it, which you expect because he’s hasn’t done much.

“He’s got a couple of months to prove to himself and to me that he can do it."
