Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has revealed that he will not be looking to add fringe players to his squad on loan ahead of this Thursday's deadline.

Jackett won't be loaning any fringe players

He will only delve into the market if the right player comes available to strengthen the first team in the latter stages of the season.

Jackett told BBC Sport: "If we feel there is someone that can improve our team, then we will sign a player, But we won't take players floating on the first-team fringe. Those places are for young players."

Jackett took over at Wolves in 2013 after resigning as manager of Millwall where he had previously been in charge for 307 games.

He lead Wolverhampton Wanderers to promotion from Sky Bet League One in his first season and he will be looking to achieve back to back promotions and return Wolves to the Premier League where they were only three seasons ago.

Wolves are currently eighth in the Sky Bet Championship and are only two points off the final play-off space currently occupied by Ipswich.

They do however, have the highest scoring English player across all of the Football League, in the form of their £2 million January signing striker Benik Afobe.

Who has scored eight goals since joining Wolverhampton Wanderers from Arsenal, adding to the 19 he had already scored on loan at MK Dons earlier in the campaign.

They have sufficient strength in depth in that area with Nouha Dicko and Kevin Doyle providing back up for Afobe until the end of the season, when the latter travels to the MLS to link up with Colorado Rapids.

Jackett had already brought in two strikers on loan this season in the form of Yannick Sagbo from Hull, who was recalled after four appearances without scoring and then Danny Graham from Sunderland who scored one goal in five appearances.
