According to The Bournemouth Echo, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe believes that Lewis Grabban will be sold this month.

Grabban was recalled by Bournemouth early after the Cherries and Sunderland came to a mutual agreement to terminate his season long loan deal at The Stadium of Light.

The former Millwall and Norwich striker told Sunderland that he no longer wished to play for the club, leaving them rooted to the foot of the Championship table.

His tally of 12 goals in 20 games has caught the attention of a number of Championship clubs, though, with three promotion contenders thought to be keen on his services.

Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers, as well as promotion hopefuls Cardiff City and Aston Villa, are all interested in Grabban, according to a report by The Sun.

Eddie Howe has handed this trio of clubs some encouragement in their pursuit of Lewis Grabban, saying that he will probably leave the Premier League club in the January transfer window.

He said: "I think Lewis will move on in this window but who it will be and when we don't know."

The Verdict

Grabban, at the right price, could be an asset to all three clubs, although I do not believe that he would be a regular starter at Aston Villa and Wolves.

Cardiff need a goal scorer and Grabban's tally of 12 makes him a top target, although that number probably flatters him.

There are better options out there, in my opinion, that you could get for cheaper.
