Sheffield United have undoubtedly been the standout side in the Sky Bet Championship so far.

The Blades currently sit at the top of the league table, having amassed 30 points from 14 league matches.

But, have Chris Wilder's men got enough in the locker to secure the Championship title? Can they be hailed title favourites?

The writers here at FLW issue their verdicts....

Alfie Burns

No.

Chris Wilder is doing a fantastic job, but Sheffield United cannot be seen as title favourites in the Championship.

Impressive, winning football is their style, and wow, they are looking good. But the likes of Wolves are still streets ahead of the Blades in talent, and whilst they have a good chance of promotion, they are not favourites.

George Dagless

Not just yet.

The Blades have been brilliant and have to be considered promotion contenders but I think Wolves are still favourites despite the current standings.

Nuno Santo's men have unbelievable quality and resources and that gives them the edge but you have to say it is narrow between the two.

The fact we're considering this question shows you how brilliant the Blades have been.

Chris Gallagher

They won't be with the bookies, but every fan will know they are the real deal.

After their promotion it's easy to pass this start off as momentum. However, it's clearly not.

The Blades are simply a very good team, with excellent spirit and a fantastic manager. They outplayed Leeds for large parts and have done many other sides this season.

They're deservedly top of the league and would be alongside Wolves as the joint favourites for me.
