The Scotland international has been linked with a move away from Mark Hughes's side, having played the full 90 minutes just five times in 17 league appearances so far this season.

It's claimed both sides are keen to secure the 30-year-old on loan for the remainder of the campaign, with the duo unable to match his wage demands on a permanent basis.

Chris Hughton's side sit fifth in the table, just six points off the automatic promotion places, while Wolves have an eight-point gap to close if they are to bring themselves into play-off contention.

Adam, who joined Stoke from Liverpool in 2012, has previously won promotion from the Championship with Blackpool, earning him a place in the Championship PFA Team of the Year for the 2009-10 season.
