Fulham have had a bid rejected for McDonald

The 26-year-old signed for Wolves in 2013 from Sheffield United for a fee of around £750,000 following their double relegation to League One, and has scored five goals in 87 appearances at the club.

He has a year left on his contract at the club and was linked with a £1.25 million switch to Fulham - they tabled that offer, which is now set to be rejected by Kenny Jackett.

Fulham are on the hunt for a new midfield partner for their only signing this summer Tom Cairney, who arrived at Craven Cottage last week for £3 million.

McDonald isn't the only player targeted by Fulham this summer, as the club also had an offer turned down for defender Richard Stearman, who managed to win player of the season at the club last year.
