Sky Bet Championship winners Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to make a £20 million move for Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen during the summer, according to The Sun.

The Welsh performer looks set to be relegated with the Potters this season and Wolves' Nuno Espírito Santo could be ready to add some vital top flight experience to his ranks.

It seems likely that Wolves will be in the market for some new recruits and the article in The Sun this morning suggests that Allen is at the very top of the club's lengthy wish-list.

The 28-year-old is on hefty wages at Stoke and boss Paul Lambert could be thankful to get Allen away from the wage budget if the club drops into the Championship.

Wolves have been in remarkable form this season and reached 99 points for the campaign with a 0-0 draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday yesterday afternoon.

Next season might see them with their backs against the wall more often than not however and Allen's steely resolution could prove to be a useful asset for the club.

Wolves fans, would you welcome Allen to the club? What will he add that you don't already have? Let us know in the comments below!!!
