Dave Edwards has admitted that Helder Costa is the best player he has played with for Wolverhampton Wanderers, reports the Express and Star’s Tim Spiers, who was at the club’s end of season awards.

Costa was rewarded for an excellent season in the Sky Bet Championship, picking up four awards last night, including Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, Goal of the Season and Top Goalscorer.

The 2016/17 season marked the tenth that Edwards had played at Molineux, and the 31-year old was full of praise for Costa, who has made a huge impact on the Championship this year, he said: “He's hands down - I've been here 10 years - the best footballer I've played with at this club."

The 23-year old has scored 12 goals across all competitions this season, adding a further eight assists, standing out in a disappointing campaign for Paul Lambert's side.

Wolves tied Costa down to a long-term deal in January, with the winger contracted at Molineux until the end of the 2021 season.
