Sean Clare proved once again that he has the ability to flourish for Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

The 21-year-old scored in the clash and was impressive in the middle of the park for the Owls, despite them losing the match to Aston Villa 4-2.

We discuss.....

When you look at the personnel Wednesday have out, he should be in the starting XI.

Clare’s impact has been magnificent and Luhukay must keep the faith with the midfielder.

With the 21-year-old’s future up in the air, Wednesday need to give Clare some hope of progression on a regular basis, or risk losing the midfielder.

Chris Gallagher

Without a doubt.

The Owls need to tie the midfielder down for the long-term as he is clearly extremely talented.

In fact, he has started so well you have to seriously question how he couldn't get game time under Carlos Carvalhal.

The youngster has won a place on merit and gives Wednesday energy, pace and drive from midfield that has sadly been lacking for a long time.

George Dagless

Why not?

He's young and will make mistakes but his first few games have been very impressive indeed.

With the Owls struggling for players for confidence they should keep him in as he is looking fearless.

Sam Preston

He's earned his place on the teamsheet.

The injury crisis at Wednesday has brought about opportunities and he's grabbed his with both hands.

Yes, they have senior players still to come back but it's not as if they've set the world alight this season and the fans will love seeing a young player do so well. Keep him in.
