Leeds United are closing in on the signing of left-back Laurens De Bock from Club Brugge, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The 25-year-old should be signed up and ready to face Ipswich Town on Saturday - but does he walk straight into Leeds' starting eleven?

We discuss....

Chris Gallagher

Without a doubt.

The left-back has serious pedigree and is playing regularly for the runaway Belgian leaders.

As well as that, he has been linked with the likes of Torino recently so he would be something of a coup for Leeds United.

The Whites need a quality left-back to play straight away and De Bock is that man.

Sam Preston

Definitely, he has to.

Gaetano Berardi is an awkward fit on the left hand side and a player like De Bock, with Champions League and Europa League experience, should be able to his the ground running in the Championship.

He hasn't played a great deal this season but sometimes the best way to get over that is to get a run of matches under your belt.

George Dagless

You'd think so.

His YouTube highlight reel isn't the most spectacular thing you'll see in your life but he's a left-back, what do we really expect?

I think he'll be a solid player and certainly a more reliable option than what's available right now.

Luke Randall

He certainly does.

Knocking Gaetano Berardi out of the line-up, a player that's been used very much out of position in recent times.

Indeed, the addition of the high-class left-back will please Thomas Christiansen, with a natural left-sided defender adding to the solidity in defence.

Alfie Burns

Not for me, he will have to earn a starting berth.

Gaetano Berardi has his flaws, but the Swiss defender has done an exceptional job on the left-side of defence this season and shouldn’t just be cast aside.

In the long-term, it will be De Bock, but he will have to displace Berardi.
