Leeds United will be looking to step up their summer transfer plans in the coming weeks as Marcelo Bielsa gets to work on sorting out his squad ready for next term.

The Whites are looking to go again after narrowly missing out on promotion to the Premier League last season, and they have already been linked with moves for the likes of Helder Costa at Wolves, a player who would no doubt improve the squad at Elland Road massively.

And now, former Leeds player Danny Mills has spoken to Football Insider about the club's pursuit of Costa, and believes that the Wolves man will want to sign for Leeds given that Marcelo Bielsa is still in charge of the club.

Bielsa is a huge name in world football and his impressive first season in English football last term has highlighted just how good he is at getting the maximum out of his players and implementing his playing style at any club.

But could that give Leeds the advantage in the transfer market this summer as Mills is alluding too?

We asked our writing team here at FLW to give us their thoughts on if Bielsa will put Leeds ahead of the chasing pack when it comes to sealing new signings...

Chris Gallagher

"Without a doubt.
"The Argentinian is a well-respected manager and his style of play will appeal to plenty of players out there who would enjoy the attack-minded approach he adopts.
"When you combine that with the size of Leeds then they will see themselves as the most attractive option in the league and they need to capitalise on that."
Jacob Potter
"It'll tilt any potential deals in their favour.
"Bielsa is a huge name in world football, and I believe that a number of potential transfer targets will want to work under him.
"Securing his long-term future could be one of Leeds' best signings of the season, and with him in charge, I think Leeds will be favourites to win a long-awaited promotion back into the Premier League."
Lee Connor
"Of course it does, it's as simple as that really
"Bielsa is a massive name in the game for one, and the way he got Leeds playing last season is enough to attract any potential new players to Elland Road.
"Couple this with the fact Leeds are a huge club, rich in history and still with a massive fanbase, then it really is a no brainer that Bielsa is the ace in the pack for the Whites."
