Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has spent the international break scouting potential recruits for the January transfer window, with 20-year-old defender James Justin of Luton Town a player who came under his scrutiny according to The Mirror.

Bielsa, 63, was at Oakwell to see Justin in the League One clash between Barnsley and Luton that ended 3-2 to the home side, with the youngster playing 90 mins at full-back.

It was reported a few months ago by Luton Today that Justin was a target of both Leeds United and Nottingham Forest but the Hatters managed to keep hold of their man.

But would Justin only be a squad player if he signed for Leeds in January?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

Unfortunately, I do think he would be a squad player.

At the age of just 20, Justin has a considerable amount of experiences in first-team football and he would really benefit from continuing to make first-team appearances.

With Leeds flying high in the Championship, Justin’s game time would be limited, as would his development at the club.

Gary Hutchinson

It would seem that way, but with Bielsa you just can’t tell.

Who would have had Klich as a key player this season?

Justin is young and ambitious, and he might surprise a few people if he moved there.

Jay Taylor

I would imagine so, for the rest of the season at least.

He will get to learn his role and the division with a view to being more involved next year.

James Justin is only 20-years-old and has a long future ahead of him in the game so a six-month spell to understand his role would be what I would expect.

A squad player in January with a view to being more involved next season.
