Cardiff City travel to the John Smith's Stadium to face Huddersfield Town in the middle of what could be a huge week for their play-off push.

The Bluebirds beat Luton Town on Saturday and face two other bottom-half sides in Huddersfield (Wednesday) and Wigan Athletic (Saturday) before the end of the week.

Taking nine points from those three games could allow them to springboard themselves right back into the play-off battle.

Lee Tomlin proved the difference-maker once again for the Bluebirds against the Hatters and secured the win with his 73rd-minute goal.

Cardiff are looking to make it a third win in their last four games but come up against a Terriers side that are trying to do the very same.

Danny Cowley's side beat QPR 2-0 on the weekend and will be hoping to claim another three points to move further away from the relegation zone.

The stormy conditions are likely to add another element to this clash entirely, with Bluebirds boss Neil Harris suggesting it was key his side "outcompeted" Cowley's men.

With that in mind, here is the XI that Harris is likely to name for the clash with the Terriers tomorrow...

Alex Smithies seems to be Cardiff's first choice at present and picked up an important clean sheet against Luton last week.

The Terriers, however, have a number of players that are capable of making it a difficult evening for the goalkeeper, including the likes of Karlan Grant, Steve Mounie and Emile Smith Rowe.

Smithies will need some help from his backline to deal with them and it seems likely that will be unchanged from the victory over Luton.

The partnership between Curtis Nelson and Sean Morrison seems to improve every time they play together and you feel if the conditions are indeed blustery they could have a busy evening.

Harris has confirmed that Joe Ralls remains sidelined and has not yet returned to training, which means the midfield duo of Marlon Pack and Will Vaulks will likely reprise their roles.

Albert Adomah and Tomlin both put in strong performances against Luton and combined for the decisive goal, so they look set to be named in the starting XI.

It was yet another underwhelming performance from Josh Murphy on the weekend, however, and one that displayed the inconsistency that has defined his season.

With that in mind, Harris is likely to turn to Junior Hoilett in his place against the Terriers.

Upfront, Callum Paterson put in another impressive display against Luton and will likely reprise his role on the back of that.
