The loan window closes in just over two weeks and Queens Park Rangers boss Steve McClaren is still hoping to further add to his squad.

It has been a quiet summer for the London club, who have only made one signing so far.

Toni Leistner arrived from Union Berlin on a free transfer and has immediately become their captain.

There is the lack of experienced personnel within the club to carry that mantle, that is also reflected in their summer spending.

A fine for breaching Financial Fair Play has had some effect and with the club facing a transfer embargo in January, now is the time to add to their side.

Experience and depth are needed if McClaren’s men are to compete this season and be able to properly integrate their youth players into the first team fold.

With that said, here are three potential loan developments that could excite QPR supporters.

The former Queens Park Rangers man is a fans' favourite at Loftus Road after a previously successful spell in London.

Currently, with Swansea City, the winger is out-of-favour and looks set to leave the Welsh side having has not featured for the Swans this season so far.

He has experience in abundance and making a move back to his spiritual home would give the club a lift and the know-how of how to operate at this level.

The striker has failed to live up to his price tag since a move from Peterborough United.

A move away from Loftus Road looks inevitable with the 26-year-old not in Steve McClaren’s plans.

It would also be a way to get his wages off the books.

Leaving the club could rejuvenate his career as he has not shown his best at the London side.

The player in the last year of his contract and now would be the best time to offload the forward.

Having not made the grade at Burnley since his move from Huddersfield Town, the striker is likely to leave on loan before August 31.

He is a proven goalscorer at this level and would give manager Steve McClaren exactly what he needs in front of goal.

Wells has the experience that would be crucial for the young side, and he could share his knowledge with young talents, like Eberechi Eze.

It is a loan move that McClaren should work hard to get done.
