West Brom winger Oliver Burke has been speaking about his own future in the wake of Darren Moore's dismissal from the Hawthorns.

Moore was sacked on Saturday after their 1-1 draw with Ipswich which effectively ended their hopes of an automatic promotion spot.

The Baggies are still fourth in the table, but have struggled to find the consistency with which to mount a serious top two challenge. That cost Moore his job, but has wider repercussions too.

21-year-old Burke is on loan at Celtic and has been impressive during his stint there. There's lots of discussion about him possibly staying on after his loan spell ends, but he's not so sure how the situation now lays at his parent club.

When asked by the Evening Times about possible news on his future, the former Forest player replied: “There has been nothing right now. As it stands I am here until the end of the season and from there I will need to see what happens."

"It is out of my hands at the minute because I am a West Brom player so we have to see what happens in the summer. I am not too sure at the minute how it really stands. It almost changes everything again with a new manager coming in… seems to happen a lot with me."

He ended by lamenting his luck with yet another change of manager, making whoever ends up at the Baggies his fourth of a turbulent season.

"Wherever I go there seems to be a new manager coming in which is just my luck. It would be nice to find a club where the manager actually stays.”

The Verdict

It would be very hard for Celtic to hold on to Burke anyway. he might have done well there, but West Brom have a big sum tied up in him and need to get that back in some form or another.

Are Celtic in a position to pay £15m for Burke? Has he been that good?

Darren Moore or no Darren Moore, the situation doesn't really change.
