Coventry City will be hoping that they can mount some sort of promotion push in the Championship next season following another campaign of steady improvement. 

The Sky Blues, who started the season very strongly, eventually finished in 12th place, providing themselves with a platform to build upon. 

Mark Robins has enjoyed excellent success since re-taking charge at the Coventry Building Society Arena back in 2017, with expectation levels likely to rise.

In: Alex Cochrane

A report from The Sun on Friday credited Coventry City with an interest in Brighton left-back Alex Cochrane. 

The 22-year-old is also being chased by Luton Town, QPR and Rotherham United in the Championship, whilst Hearts are wanting the exciting defender to return to Scotland. 

With Coventry unlikely to be able to agree another deal for Ian Maatsen, the Sky Blues could look to bring in a permanent option who will be immediately ready for first-team action. 

In: Kasey Palmer 

Coventry are believed to be close to the signing of Cardiff City and Birmingham City target Kasey Palmer, as per a report from Coventry Live. 

A player who would bolster competition levels in the midfielder, the 25-year-old could see his medical pencilled in for early this week, in what could be a fast-moving transfer story. 

Able to operate in central midfield, Palmer is most effective when deployed as a number 10.

Out: Viktor Gyokeres 

The Sky Blues will be eager to keep hold of Viktor Gyokeres this summer, especially with a promotion push an achievable target during the 2022/23 season. 

However, they could cash in on the Swedish striker if a sizeable offer is presented to the club. 

Middlesbrough and Fulham are currently interested in the 23-year-old but it is likely that Coventry will only start to consider bids that are north of eight figures.
