Swansea City drew 0-0 with Cardiff City in the Championship yesterday.
Neither side has ever done the league double over each other and that omen will continue into next season now, after a goalless draw at the Cardiff City Stadium yesterday.
Steve Cooper’s side had won the reverse fixture earlier in the season, where Ben Wilmot scored the only goal in a 1-0 win, and his side came closest to scoring first yesterday when Bersant Celina struck the post in the first-half.
Callum Paterson came close for Cardiff in the second-half when he headed onto the crossbar, but neither side could muster a real goal-scoring chance yesterday, and the points were shared.
Here’s what Wilmot posted on his Instagram yesterday:
Wilmot started the game in the heart of the Swans defence alongside Ben Cabango – the pair have formed a solid partnership of late, with injuries to Mike van der Hoorn and Joe Rodon.
But there are fears that the on-loan Watford man might be recalled by his parent club, after Cooper brought in Chelsea’s Marc Guehi on-loan until the end of the season.

Wilmot though is a huge favourite at Swansea, and many would love to see him stay beyond the end of the season.
The draw yesterday saw the Swans miss the chance to stay in 6th-place of the Championship table, but they next host Wigan this weekend and Cooper will be gunning for a return to winning ways against the struggling Latics.
