Swansea City defender Ben Wilmot has posted a message on his Instagram ahead of the Welsh derby this weekend.

Steve Cooper takes his Swansea side across the South Welsh border this weekend, to face Neil Harris' Cardiff in the second Welsh derby of the season.

The first ended in a 1-0 win for Swansea and it was Wilmot who scored the only goal that day, his first of two for the Swans so far this season.

The on-loan Watford man has become a favourite at the Liberty. He's stepped into the defence amid injuries to the likes of Joe Rodon and Mike van der Hoorn in recent weeks, and alongside Ben Cabango has looked as solid as ever for Swansea.

Here's what he posted on Instagram ahead of the derby on Sunday:

It took a while for the 20-year-old to break into the side, he's missed exactly half of Swansea's league fixtures this season, but he's quickly proven his worth in Wales and the fans would love to see him stay beyond this season.

Both teams have been dismantled by QPR since the New Year - Cardiff on New Year's Day and Swansea in the FA Cup Third Round last weekend, but both remain in the top-half of the Championship.

Cooper's side have only lost one of their last five in the league and go into the weekend in 6th, whilst Cardiff have won just one of their last six in the league and sit in 12th.
