After picking up a decent point against Plymouth Argyle last time out in League One, Bolton face another tricky test this weekend.

Indeed, Wanderers host Portsmouth in third tier action, and interestingly, for the second time in the week.

Bolton too hosted the south coast club in the quarter final of the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night, running out 1-0 winners and advancing to the semi-final stages.

Ian Evatt will be looking for a similar result once again from his side on Saturday afternoon, with a potential three points able to further strengthen Bolton's play-off push.

With that said, below, we've attempted to predict the Wanderers XI that could line up to face Portsmouth on Saturday afternoon.

Our predicted XI sees Ian Evatt stick with a familiar shape for this one, opting for a 3-4-1-2.

Indeed, the line up sees James Trafford keep his place inbetween the sticks, with a back three in front of him consisting of, from left to right, George Johnston, Will Aimson and Eoin Toal.

At left-wing-back/left midfield, with Jack Iredale sidelined, it could be that Ian Evatt once again turns to Randell Williams.

Meanwhile, on the right, it's likely that Conor Bradley will be given the nod.

In the centre of the pitch, our predicted XI sees Aaron Morley line up in a pairing with Kyle Dempsey, with Kieran Lee operating centrally too, just in a more advanced role.

Up front, tasked with scoring the goals and leading the line for Wanderers in our XI are Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Dion Charles.

The duo have 19 goals between them in all competitions so far this campaign, making them a real threat for the Pompey defence to contend with.
