David Prutton is expecting Sheffield United’s winless run to continue tonight, when they host Bristol City in the Sky Bet Championship, reports Sky Sports.

Writing in his prediction column for Sky, Prutton is predicting a 2-2 draw at Bramall Lane this evening, with Leon Clarke opening the scoring for Chris Wilder’s side in the contest between two of the Championship’s high-flyers.

Sheffield United currently sit fourth, trailing Bristol in third on just goal difference.

However, the Blades enter tonight’s contest in a worrying run of form, having picked up just a single point from their last three fixtures, a run that has significantly dented their automatic promotion hopes, with a six-point gap opening up to second.

Wilder’s side have lost against Fulham and Millwall in their last three, results that sandwiched a 1-1 draw with Birmingham City.

Whilst Sheffield United are beginning to stutter, Lee Johnson’s Robins are going from strength-to-strength, with the Ashton Gate club maintaining their fantastic form.

Johnson’s side have recorded back-to-back victories in their last two, including last Saturday’s 2-1 triumph over Garry Monk’s Middlesbrough.

The Verdict

This should be an entertaining clash at Bramall Lane, with both Sheffield United and Bristol City firmly in the mix for the top-six heading into the festive period.

Wilder’s side are on a worrying run of form, but tonight would be the perfect opportunity for the Blades to bounce back.

Bristol City are on a good run of form, but Bramall Lane is a tough place to go – it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a narrow home victory.
