Sky Sports have released a list of the matches they'll be showing from League One over the first few months of the season, with one fixture standing out from the rest for the wrong reasons.

As confirmed by Bury's official Twitter feed, their clash with Bolton Wanderers has been selected for TV coverage. It could be seen as an act of benevolence by the TV company, bringing in some much-needed funds to the ailing clubs.

However, it could also have been done out of a morbid desire to show the other side of football fortune, with the two clubs battling external forces which could see them go out of business.

Bury are facing a High Court date which could see them wound up ahead of the new season. They were promoted from League Two last season, but have been haemorrhaging players and staff all summer. Paul Wilkinson has now taken over as manager; he oversaw Truro City's relegation into the seventh tier of English football last season.

Bolton entered administration last season, had a game cancelled following a player's strike and start with a 12-point deduction in League One.

Both sides are fighting something far worse than a lack of success on the field and supporters from both clubs have not reacted well to the game being chosen for TV.
