Samba Sow has been one of the standout players for Nottingham Forest so far this season and has played a key role in the Reds' promising start to their Championship campaign under Sabri Lamouchi.

The 30-year-old arrived at the City Ground from Russian Premier League side Dynamo Moscow and has impressed Forest fans hugely with his performances in defensive midfield.

The Mali international has made nine Championship appearances for the Reds this season, although he has missed their last two matches, after picking up a hamstring injury in the 1-0 win over Brentford before the international break.

Forest suffered their second Championship defeat in the space of four days last night, as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Hull City.

The defeat to the Tigers came four days after the Reds' ten-match unbeaten league run was brought to an end with a 1-0 defeat at Wigan.

Sow missed both games through injury and plenty of Forest fans took to social media after the defeat to Hull last night to express how much the team are missing his presence in the middle of the park.
