Football League World's Swansea City fan pundit Jacob Bellayuto has picked out the positives to the club potentially signing Fleetwood Town midfielder Kyle Dempsey.

Football Insider reported the club's interest earlier this month and whilst Bellayuto believes he may not go straight into the starting XI, he thinks he will still have a real impact on the side.

"I don't necessarily think he will be in the starting squad," the regular punter told Football League World.

"But him coming in and pushing the first team midfielders would keep them on their toes and at their best.

"Plus, who knows, if things keep going poorly, he could find himself in the team and possibly be the spark we need."

The 24-year-old has made nine appearances for Joey Barton's side this season as they look to secure a place in the top-six, scoring once along the way.

He made the permanent move to Highbury from Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2017, following a season-long loan spell with the club, becoming a firm fan favourite ever since.

However, if the Swans are to land his services in January, they will have to fend off competition from the likes of Derby County and Huddersfield Town, something which may prove difficult to do, especially with the latter having played in the Premier League just last season.

But Steve Cooper and his side are hardly slouching, occupying fourth place with 14 matches played, just two points behind the Baggies.
