Sunderland are hoping to have a big few days in the transfer market.
After picking up a number of positive results in the last week or so the hope for the Black Cats is that they can make some shrewd additions to supplement their push for promotion this season.
However if they're to sign new players then it's likely that one or two may have to leave.
One of the players linked with an exit is Will Grigg, but what's the latest on his future?
We take a look at the striker's future.
What do we know so far?
A report from Football Insider emerged earlier this week suggesting that Shrewsbury Town, Salford City and MK Dons were interested in a move for the out-of-favour striker.
It then appeared that a move away was a reality when Lee Johnson opened the door to a potential exit before the end of the month.
The latest on his future, according to the Sunderland Echo, is that Shrewsbury are closing in on a loan deal for Grigg and are hopeful that they'll be able to wrap up a deal before Monday night's 11pm deadline.
Quiz: Have any of these 22 players ever been in Sunderland’s academy?
Is a move likely to happen this month?
It certainly seems very likely that Will Grigg will move on this month.
Things just haven't worked out for the striker since moving to the club two years ago and it seems that a lack of form and fitness has had a real impact on the player's confidence.
Grigg needs to find his feet again and a loan move away could be the perfect opportunity to do just that.
From Sunderland's point of view the deal seems to make financial sense.
Moving Grigg on - even on a short-term deal - will free up funds for Lee Johnson to bring in other players this month, something that he's keen to do to push the club into promotion contention.
It appears to be a move that will suit all parties and one that looks increasingly likely to go through.
