And they will have a familiar face among their coaching staff for those clashes after the club confirmed the appointment of former right-back and club captain Steve Reid as an assistant to Jimmy Shan.

During his time at the Hawthorns, Reid picked up 88 caps and scored four goals before moving to Burnley as a free agent where he retired in 2015.

The Baggies' fan base have been somewhat torn over Shan and his spell as caretaker boss but hiring somebody like Reid, who is admired so much by the fans, has got to be a smart move.
