David Prutton is expecting Sheffield United to bounce back in the Sky Bet Championship this weekend, with Chris Wilder’s side returning to winning ways against Millwall, reports Sky Sports.
Writing in his prediction column for Sky, Prutton has predicted the Blades to run out 2-1 winners at the Den this weekend, with Wilder’s side putting the pressure back on the Championship’s top-two.
Wilder has watched his side fail to pick up three points in their last two Championship fixtures, with a 5-4 defeat to Fulham and a 1-1 draw with Birmingham City meaning the Blades slipped out of the automatic promotion places.
Sheffield United currently sit third in the Championship table, but could enter tomorrow’s clash in fourth, depending on Aston Villa’s result against Leeds United at Elland Road this evening.
Wilder will understand the task at hand tomorrow at the Den, with Millwall already claiming the scalp of Leeds and Norwich City at their home ground this season.
However, Neil Harris’ side enter tomorrow’s contest without a victory in their last six, a worrying run of form that has seen the Lions slide down to 19th in the Championship table.
Sheffield United have not looked themselves over recent weeks, with Wilder’s side clearly struggling without the influential Paul Coutts in central midfield.
However, Wilder’s side still have a lot of quality, particularly in Leon Clarke, who has 13 goals already this season.
This is a tough fixture to call, but it is hard not to agree with Prutton, the Blades will be seething over their last two performances and will be desperate for three points.
