Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has said that he will not change the way he sets his team up to play following an attacking start to the season which has seen the Blades sit just outside the top two in the Championship.

Speaking to the Blades' official website and youtube channel, the former Oxford and Northampton manager insisted his side need an excellent home record, but insists he will not change the attacking way in which he sets his side up to play.

United have only lost one of their home games so far, where they fell to a resolute display from Norwich City, but have only conceded two goals, the other coming against Derby in a 3-1 win over the Rams.

Eight home goals have come as a result of Wilder's attacking style, while the club smashed in four past local rivals Sheffield Wednesday to further enhance their reputation as an attacking force.

Wilder said he would continue to set his team up to attack, and also noted that he thinks supporters in general 'will be enjoying watching his team' because of their style of play.

United romped to the League One title last season under Wilder scoring plenty of goals in the process while accumulating 100 points. It appears their form has continued into the Championship and a second promotion could well be on the cards if they continue their form.

The Verdict

The Blades have certainly made an impression on the Championship and manager Wilder is proving himself a real talent in managerial terms.

If they can continue to attack and defend in the manner they are, then they won't be far away come the end of the season.
